How to make a booking request
Your booking request and subsequent reservation is taken subject to the following terms and conditions. Please take a minute to read them, then complete the ‘booking and enquiry form’ from this site.
Conditions of Rental
- To confirm your booking, you will have seven (7) working days in which to pay a deposit. Payment can be made via the internet by credit card or bank transfer.
- All tarrifs quoted at the time of booking shall be subject to change without notice. We accept no responsibility for any misinformation or misrepresentation given by the Proprietors of these properties.
- There is NO SMOKING inside any of the houses. Smokers please dispose of butts thoughtfully – not on ground.
- All properties are rented to you in good faith, on the condition that you respect and look after it. Existing damage and wear has been recorded by us and any additional damage, whether reported by you or found by us, must be paid for. You will be invoiced accordingly.
- Marion Bay Rentals and staff shall not be liable for damage, injury, loss or delay whilst at the accommodation or any related activity.
- Marion Bay Rentals are not responsible for the actions, lack of actions or negligence of any of the property owners, representatives or guests.
- Any disputes with owners/proprietors of the property are between the guest and owner and must be settled directly with the owners. Marion Bay Rentals accepts no responsibility for any actions or lack of action of the proprietors or guests.
- We reserve the right to cancel bookings or refuse a booking if the property becomes unavailable for reasons beyond the control of the owners/proprietors. We will do our very best to offer alternative accommodation.
- We recommend you take out travel insurance
- STRICTLY NO FIRES to be lit outside from 31st October – 30th April. THIS IS FIRE BAN SEASON
Linen
- Please bring your own sheets (top and bottom), pillow cases and towels.
- Should our cleaner believe that linen was not used the guest(s) will be responsible for the cost of laundering all bedding.
- Linen can be supplied (linen rental fees apply)
**Failure to provide the above will incur a $25 fee per bed**
Check-In and Check-Out
- Arrival time at the property is 2.00pm onwards. Departure times is 10.00am sharp (unless prior arrangements for a late check out are made with Property Manager)
- On arrival the house will be locked and you will find the keys in the lock box – A combination code will be given to you prior to check in
- When you depart, please leave the property as you found it; with your dishes washed, dried, put away, all rubbish placed in the wheelie bins provided and general tidy.
- On departure, please place keys back in the lock box (There will be a replacement charge if keys are lost)
What to Bring
- All food and pantry items (properties are not stocked)
There is an IGA in Minlaton, Butcher and Foodworks in Warooka. Marion Bay has a General Store which supplies the basic necessities.
- Toilet Paper & all toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, bath soap etc)
- Sunscreen, swimming and beach gear, beach shade, esky
What We Provide
- Bathmats, hand towel, tea towels, sponge and scourer, hand soap
- Cooking utensils, cutlery
- Kitchen goods – kettle, toaster, oven, stove top, dinnerware, glasses
- Quilts and covers, pillows and blankets
Rain Water
Marion Bay Township relies solely on rain water. Please be water wise when showering and use rainwater sparingly at all times.
- Keep shower times short
- Do not wash cars and boats
- Run shallow baths (if provided on property)
- Use the Short Cycle option when using washing machine (if provided in property)
TV & Entertainment Centre
- Do not remove / touch cords to TV and entertainment centres ($30 will be deducted from your bond if done so)
Power Outages and Phone Coverage
- Marion Bay has issues from time to time with black outs and phone reception.
- Please note, if you are with Vodafone you WILL NOT get service. We are limited to Telstra and Optus only. It is helpful to download your roadmap, important phone numbers and information prior to travel.
- A public phone box can be located at the General Store or across the road from the Caravan Park
- We also recommend that you maintain a full tank of fuel whilst here in case of an emergency; if our power fails fuel won’t be available locally.
BBQ
- BBQ’s are to be left cleaned upon departure (a $30.00 cleaning fees will apply if uncleaned)
Gas Bottles
- While we strive to make sure you have sufficient gas for the BBQ for your stay. If you happen to run out you can (swap and go) at the General Store or Marion Bay Tavern. Please retain the receipt and leave it with the keys so we are able to reimburse you for the gas.
- If you run out of gas outside of the general store trading hours please call Brett on (0417835767) and I will organise a replacement for you.
- Please ensure that the valve on the gas bottle is turned off after cooking.
Rubbish, Recycling and Cans and Bottles
- Collection of Wheelie Bins is on Friday Mornings. Please place bins on footpath Thursday evenings.
Red Lid – General Household Waste (Collection every Friday)
Yellow Lid – Recycling (Collection every 2nd Friday)
Green Lid – Green Waste Only (Collection once a month – Wednesday)
- Place all refundable cans and bottles in crates/bins provided or the cartons they came in
All refundable cans and bottles are donated to the Marion Bay Progress Association – monies go towards the Community Projects and Services
Smoking and Candles
- There is strictly no smoking inside our properties. We reserve the right to charge you if we are unable to rent it due to strong odours from smoking.
- Unfortunately, due to safety reasons, we also do not allow candles

Pets
- Pets generally are not permitted on the properties unless you have prior permission from the Property Manager
- Strictly no pets are permitted inside any of the properties.
- Where a property is deemed pet friendly, please supply your own external dog bedding, water bowl etc
- Please clean all dog hair from door mats and clear the yard of droppings
- Pet owners are to provide pet bedding. If your pet has tendency to rest on the external door mat please provide a rug
- Properties are to be left clean with no indication of pet mess, hair or damage. (additional cleaning fees may apply).
Fish Cleaning
- Please do not clean fish inside the houses
- Use fish cleaning facility at the house if provided or the Beach
Parties and Events
- No parties and events are allowed at the properties.
- Noise levels have to be kept to a minimum after 11.00pm.
- The number of guests must not exceed the number agreed to at the time of booking. We reserve the right to charge for unexpected guests.

Departure Instructions
- Check out 10am
- Turn off heater / air conditioner and place controller in designated area
- Place all rubbish in wheelie bins outside (red lid – general rubbish, yellow lid – recycling)
- Wash all dishes, dry and put away in designated cupboards & drawers ($30 will be deducted from Bond if left)
- Unpack all dishes from dishwasher and put away in designated cupboards & drawers ($30 will be deducted from Bond if left)
- Ensure BBQ Gas bottle is turned off and BBQ cleaned if used
- Replace any moved furniture
- Turn off lights and appliances
- Check for any forgotten belongings
- Toiletries
- Phone Chargers
- Pillows, linen
- Return keys to appropriate key safe (There will be a replacement charge if keys are lost)
Payment Details
Deposit
A deposit is required 7 days after confirmation of booking dates to secure your booking.
Bond
- On the condition that the house is left reasonably clean and tidy with nothing broken or missing your bond will be returned to you within seven days of Departure. (Deductions from your bond may apply in case)
- Your bond will be retained for late cancellations
Balance of Payment
Full payment (incl. bond) is required at least 21 days prior to arrival at property, unless otherwise arranged with property manager. If booking is made within 21days of arrival, full payment is required within 7 days.
Bookings for ‘peak periods’ of year must be paid in full no less than 2 months prior to arrival.
Cancellation of Bookings
If booking cancelled 14 – 30 days prior to arrival – Bond will be forfeited.
If booking cancelled within 14 days of arrival – 50% of accommodation cost will be forteited.
If booking cancelled within 7 days of arrival – 100% of accommodation cost will be forfeited.
Cancellations of confirmed bookings must be in writing.
